Trip Cancellation, Delay, and Refund Policy
Go Send Global (“GSG”) plans mission trips months in advance and enters into binding commitments with host ministries, lodging providers, transportation partners, and vendors on behalf of each participant and team. As a result, trip payments are used immediately to secure services and ministry expenses that are often non-recoverable.
This policy explains how cancellations, delays, and travel disruptions are handled.
1. Participant and Team-Initiated Cancellations
If a participant or team cancels participation for any reason, including but not limited to personal circumstances, medical issues, scheduling conflicts, or changes in availability:
All trip payments are non-refundable in cash.
At Go Send Global’s discretion, previously paid funds may be issued as a credit toward a future Go Send Global trip, subject to the following conditions:
Credits will be issued minus any non-recoverable costs already incurred (including lodging, transportation, meals, in-country logistics, administrative costs, and ministry support).
Credits must be used within twenty-four (24) months of the original trip start date.
Credits are non-transferable and may only be applied to future Go Send Global trips.
Credits have no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash.
Participant cancellations occurring close to the departure date may result in little or no credit due to finalized expenses.
2. Airline Delays, Cancellations, and Missed Connections
Go Send Global is not responsible for airline operations or third-party travel providers.
If a trip is delayed, shortened, or canceled in whole or in part due to airline issues—including flight delays, cancellations, missed connections, schedule changes, or denied boarding:
Go Send Global does not issue cash refunds for missed days, unused services, or altered itineraries.
Trip payments will remain allocated to ministry and logistical expenses already committed on the participant’s behalf.
Any refunds, credits, rebooking options, or compensation related to airfare are the sole responsibility of the airline and must be pursued directly with the carrier.
Participants acknowledge that airline disruptions are an inherent risk of travel and accept responsibility for managing those risks.
3. Travel Insurance
Go Send Global strongly recommends that all participants purchase travel insurance that includes coverage for:
Trip cancellation
Trip interruption
Airline delays or cancellations
Medical emergencies
Missed connections
Travel insurance is the primary financial protection for airline-related or travel-related disruptions. Failure to obtain travel insurance does not obligate Go Send Global to issue refunds or credits.
4. Go Send Global-Initiated Changes or Cancellations
Go Send Global reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reroute, or modify a trip due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Safety or security concerns
Natural disasters or weather events
Political instability
Minimum team size not being met
Host-country restrictions
Partner or logistical challenges
If Go Send Global cancels a trip and a suitable alternative is not available:
Participants may receive a credit toward a future Go Send Global trip, minus non-recoverable expenses.
Credits will be valid for up to twenty-four (24) months from the original trip start date.
Cash refunds are not guaranteed and depend solely on the recovery of funds from third-party vendors.
5. Early Departure or Removal From a Trip
If a participant:
Voluntarily leaves a trip early, or
Is dismissed from a trip due to violation of Go Send Global policies, conduct standards, safety guidelines, or local laws,
No refunds or credits will be issued for any unused portion of the trip, including airfare, lodging, meals, or ministry activities.
6. Acceptance of Policy
By submitting a trip application and making payments toward a Go Send Global mission trip, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Cancellation, Delay, and Refund Policy in full.
This policy is designed to ensure responsible stewardship, clarity, and sustainability for Go Send Global and the communities we serve.
